Reading of Invitation by Oriah Mountain Dreamer. Can’t stop reading this poem. She even said she liked it :)

this ocean moves
there are no rules
there is no rush
it flows where it may
and it does not stop
this ocean moves
with white fringed swells
with deep blue glass
ever changing forms
with limitless paths
this ocean moves
-
the ghost from your lips still lingers in void,
with memories of sullen spirits pouring vacancy
like sheets of tears from the black black clouds.
to be selfish with a heart this blue, is to love,
as is the famished soil welcoming its first drop of hope.

If the raw sound of spring can’t deflect your eyes
and not a snowflake in the winter can stay whole with your touch
and the autumn winds can’t keep together the hope in your voice
and every color in the fall will bow down to your quirks
how can I do anything but surrender to your love

Quotable Arts by Evan Robertson / Obvious State
High quality giclée prints available at etsy. Distilling literary quotes from a handful of the masters down to a single graphic representation, Evan captures the raw concept of the sentence and makes it damn purty to look at as well.

Sad thing is the majority of people don’t. Everyone is hiding!

To define is to limit.

This made me cry. However although it is sad it is also ever-so inspiring. We all waste so much of our precious time second guessing and not acting, caving to constraints in life that literally mean nothing, and stressing out about our lives that do not “mean” anything in the first place. So many people walk around in search of a meaning to life, I used to be one of those people. I can’t count how many nights I used to stay up and dig myself into a hole of confusion in my own mind. It was hard to escape from. However once I realized that instead of finding a meaning to life we instead create it, a whole new relevancy to my surroundings was discovered. Life is beautiful, and everything and anything that it is made up with is a miracle and is already perfect just the way it is. Once we can realize that there isn’t anything else except what we are experiencing right this moment, we can really be present to any possibility we can imagine.
